Allied advances took place in French and Belgian Flanders between late September into October 1918. The main series of battles were known as The Flanders Advance or the Fifth Battle of Ypres or the Battle of the Peaks of Flanders 28 September - 2 October 1918 by the British Second and Fifth Armies and the 27th American Division.
